Yeshiva Temimei Darech

Dormitory

Today YTD boasts a large three story dormitory facility in the most celebrated and highly trafficked section of the Jewish quarter.  We have a full time chef on premises who serves a menu of delicious and holistic foods.  Our living quarters, recently refurbished, are in the quaint old style of Tzfat, replete with domed stone ceilings and arches.  We have room to sleep nearly 30 students and a large, homey cafeteria for meals and farbrengens.  It wouldn’t be Tzfat without the gorgeous sweeping views of the northern landscape, which can be seen from our spacious balconies where outdoor classes are often held.

The Tzemach Tzedek Shul

Our study hall is currently located in the historic Tzemach Tzedek synagogue, named for the third Lubavitcher Rebbe who acquired the grounds of the shul in the early 1800s. At that time he also purchased land in Jerusalem and Hebron in order to strengthen the communities being established in Israel. When the Rebbe sent his first emissaries to Israel in 1972, he chose Tzfat, and particularly the Tzemach Tzedek shul, to begin his mission in the Holy Land. YTD has the special merit and blessing to learn within its sacred walls.
